Asia Abrasive Co, Ltd. was founded to foster intensively a special abrasive stone area. It was separated from its parent company, Kumsung Abrasive Industrial Co., Ltd., which was established in 1958. We have built up the technology, regarding abrasive stone and the business base, by engaging in a technological partnership with Japan.
The magnesia abrasive stone has placed itself as the premier product in Korea through our intensive investment and continued research and development. Basing this on such technology, we at the Asia Abrasive Co., Ltd., have been producing a new epoxy abrasive stone, barrel stones as well as ceramic abrasive balls.
We also sell the alumina balls, which are of high purity and high abrasive-resistance, for pulverization and dispersion. We accomplish this by using a high precision ball molding technology that we have built up thus far.
In 1997, we succeed in the production of a zirconia ball, which was based on our built up technology, which Korea previously depended on importing this. In the future, we also are focusing on the development of functional ceramic balls that use several different ceramic materials. We can proudly say that we now hold the premier technology in Korea with respect to the production of ceramic balls.
To accelerate the penetration of overseas markets and domestic markets, we built Qingdao Asia Abrasive Co., Ltd. in China. It can play a leading role for our penetration of world markets.
