100 Kgs Gold Jewelry Stash Found in LTTE Occupied Areas

Sri Lankan security forces reportedly recovered a stash including 100 kgs of gold jewelry and a large amount of cash from an area in Wanni in northern Sri Lanka where senior Tiger leaders were hiding.
The Sri Lanka military reported: "Based on information received from a LTTE cadre in custody, troops found large amounts of money and jewelry at the Velamullivaikkal area in Mullaittivu where senior Tiger leaders were hiding during their final days of the battle against the troops."
Last month, the family of Sea Tiger Chief Soosai was caught fleeing with a large amount of money.
Other recovered items included aircraft missiles, grenade launchers, and an assortment of bombs, including mortar bombs, Arun bombs and white phosphorous bombs.
