A wedding gown sewn with 222 diamonds and 100 red rubies, at an estimated value of $117,000, was named Vietnam's most expensive wedding gown and was put on display at Hanoi's Ruby Plaza trading center last week.

The gown, made of white silk and satin, and adorned with several big flowers consisting of 22 large red rubies and eight diamonds, was designed by Vietnamese fashion designer Huy Vo.



The Vietnam Record Book Center officially declared the unique diamond and ruby dress the country's most expensive wedding gown.



The gown was modeled by first runner-up in the Miss Vietnam 2008 contest Thuy Van on June 30. The diamond-encrusted gown will be displayed to the public on the 3rd floor of Hanoi's Ruby Plaza.
