Stihl, which claims to have the number one selling brand of cut-off machines in the world, has launched two new machines which it says are the best it has ever built, the TS 410 and TS 420 Cutquik cut-off machines.
Both machines contain Stihl’s new revolutionary X2 air filtration system, which delivers 99.96% clean air to the machine and not only eliminates the need to clean the filter, reducing down time due to on the job filter maintenance and costly repairs due to particulate damage, but also extends filter life.
Depending on cutting conditions, filters can last up to one year. Proper filter maintenance is very easy: do not clean the filters; run the machine until there is a noticeable drop in power; then simply replace the filters.
STIHL is known for making powerful and efficient equipment designed with the user in mind. These units feature a new anti-vibration system that reduces vibration by 43% compared to previous models, providing maximum comfort and lessen fatigue. The upright, large-capacity fuel tank can provide a 20% longer run time than previous models. The top-handle, lightweight and compact design improves maneuverability and balance. Environmental responsibility being a priority for everyone, Stihl’s engine technology increases fuel efficiency and reduces emissions by 44% compared to previous models. Stihl claims that no other cut-off machine delivers this unique blend of performance, comfort and efficiency.
The TS 410 has a 300 mm diameter blade and the TS 420 has a 350 mm diameter blade, giving maximum cutting depths of 100 and 125 mm respectively. Both have 4.4 hp engines with an engine speed of 9,500 rpm and maximum spindle speed of 5,350 rpm.
Additional features include the IntelliCarb compensating carburetor system that maintains the correct fuel-to-air ratio, allowing the engine to always run at full rpm, the ElastoStart starting handle with a built-in shock absorber for smoother starts, a patented semi-automatic belt tensioner and an integrated water attachment.
