Abstract In this paper, resin bond superhard material grinding discs were studied, which mainly used in (NC) dual-side disc grinding. The discs should have very high performance to make the ground surface precision reach micro-grade. The grinding principle, features and applications of the dual-side discs were introduced and the main indexes were analysied to evaluate the performances of the discs. The factors affecting the grinding performances, were studied and the comparision between performances and effectiveness was also carried out.
