Abstract Manufacturing technique of hot pressed diamond bit applied in CCSD is introduced. Based on the analyses of rock properties and drilling conditions, large diameter diamond coring bits made by hot pressing method for hard rock and deep hole are mainly interpreted. New structure is adopted for protecting bit radius, which has innovation and practicability. The hot pressing technology is completely different from the traditional sintering regulation. The diamond bits used in CCSD obtained the high average drilling rate and long average service life.
