It is reported that American epoxy resin price is declining because of the dropping in the cost of raw material and increasing of cheaper imports, reporter said last Tuesday.

Supposedly, in June, American epoxy resin price is predicted to fall 5-10 cents per pound compared with May. The buyers think that raw materials BPA of epoxy resin will be cheaper due to upstream proplylene cost and benzene declining clearly.

Moreover, the imports increase in the market and its price is lower 5-7 cents per pound than that of American domestic products, 1.46-1.48 cents per pound. At present, the purchasing price of epoxy resin is 1.60-1.70 cents per pound (payment in bulk) in US, May. In America, the main manufacturers of epoxy resin are DOW Chemical, Hunsman and Momentive Company.
