De Beers US Marketing Team Director Resigns

Richard Lennox, the man behind De Beers’ marketing programs in the United States, has resigned. Lennox served as the U.S. director-in-charge of the De Beers account at the JWT advertising team for 10 years.
JWT announced that the agency’s existing management team of Lisa Cochin, Emmy Kondo, Sally Morrison and Colby Shergalis will continue to supervise the De Beers account at JWT.
In the course of Lennox’s career at JWT, the Millennium campaign, the three-stone, the right-hand ring and Journey beacon programs were created.
Following Lennox’s announcement, De Beers Group's Stephen Lussier said: “Richard has made an unbelievable contribution to the whole industry. Through JWT, he has created powerful ideas that have excited consumers and driven growth in the trade."
JWT’s marketing team's is currently supervising De Beers' 2009 holiday marketing campaign, to which Lennox contributed over the past few months.
