Although a diamond conference set to take place in Zimbabwe in July was indefinitely postponed, the global diamond industry will not have to wait long for the next conference of its kind as industry professionals will gather in India in late August to discuss the international diamond trade.
The Rapaport International Diamond Conference will take place at the Taj President Hotel in Mumbai on August 29, 2012. The conference is set to focus on three primary topics of discussion: branding opportunities, investment diamonds and both rough diamond and polished diamond prices.
Rapaport chairman Martin Rapaport will give a presentation at the conference, and other industry experts will analyze the diamond industry and the wider economy. The conference organizers also hope that there will be a lively discourse between professional presenters and conference attendees and note that the conference will include networking sessions to augment this aspect.
