Colour coding clears confusion

Starting in 2009, Husqvarna Construction Products revealed a new coding system that takes the guesswork out of blade selection. Blade names and functions remain the same but the colour of the blade core and silkscreen has changed to reflect the material to be cut and blade level.
Five core colours and four silkscreen colours are used on blades that are 300 to 500 mm (12” to 20”) in diameter. The system is simple; the diamond blade core colour represents the material to be cut, whereas the blade silkscreen colour is specific to the level of the blade as shown in the table below.
The new blade colour/selection system makes interpretation of each blade’s purpose easier, benefiting customers greatly by saving time at the store and work site. Normally a customer has to read what the blade will cut; however with Husqvarna’s new system, a customer will only have to look for the appropriate colour and instantly know what material it will cut and the blade level.
Husqvarna Construction Products is a market leader in equipment and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries. The product range includes power cutters, floor saws, early entry saws, tile and masonry saws, wall and wire saws, core drilling machines, surface preparation equipment and diamond tools for these and other applications.
