DALLAS – Another custom surface – concrete countertops – will take to the floor and more during StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas this fall.
Hanley Wood Exhibitions, StonExpo’s owner/producer, announced a three-year endorsement agreement today with the Concrete Countertop Institute (CCI) of Raleigh, N.C.
CCI will also host its Concrete Countertop Industry Conference at StonExpo, beginning at this year’s event on Oct. 21-24 in Las Vegas. The conference is an annual educational event with seminars by concrete-coutnertop industry leaders.
“CCI, a leader in the concrete countertop industry, is an exciting addition to the StonExpo family, “ says Dana Teague, StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas show manager. “Diversification is the buzzword surrounding StonExpo this year, and offering the training and resources of CCI to our attendees is an important step in expanding beyond the stone industry to unite the entire fabrication industry.”
In addition to seminars and other presentations, the focus on concrete countertops will also include a pavilion on the StonExpo show floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Founded in 2004 by Jeffrey Girard, P.E., CCI’s mission is to help concrete countertop professionals succeed. The institute provides contractors with intensive training via its training programs and information/networking opportunities via the Concrete Connections Website and its annual conference.
“Partnering with an industry leader like StonExpo will allow us to offer unparalleled opportunities to our members as well as gain valuable exposure with an international audience,” states Lane Mangum, CCI business services vice president. “StonExpo is an ideal partner for us and we look forward to educating the participants on concrete countertops."
