Overseas Investment growth in Hubei Province increases substantially in the first half of 2009. The investment enthusiasm of private enterprises upsurges and recourse development becomes popular. As of the end of June this year, there have been 117 operating agencies and enterprises set up by Hubei Province in 41 countries and regions around the world, and the foreign direct investment amounts to USD380m. The sum of foreign direct investment since 2004 has exceeded the total amount in the previous 30 years. From January to June, there are 9 newly approved foreign-invested enterprises in Hubei Province, and the total investment is USD64.18m, with an increase of 3.6 times, of which the investment of Chinese side is USD57.1m, with an increase of 3.7 times.
