Abstract The article has introduced the newest development of Chinese diamond wire saw in recent years. Advanced 3D video instrument has been adopted to monitor the damage status of wire saw, which can be used to guide the improvement of prescription and structure of the bead. The further improvement of the producing technics of diamond wire saw has also been involved. Besides, it has introduced the performance characteristics of wire saw machine made in China and down-the-hole drill, as well as the importance of promoting diamond wire saw using in stone mines.
