America “Rubber and Plastic News” reported recently that world demand for specialty silica is growing to 2.8 million tons in 2016 according to the research of Freedonia Group, a famous market enquiry agency.
It is said that in “World Specialty Silica” the applied range of silica (precipitation silica, gaseous phase silica, silica gel and silica sol) is broaden in the rubber field. It is expected that the market demand will be growing.
Freeddonia Group showed that precipitation white carbon black is used for manufacturing “green tire”, which will account to 2/3 of total world silica demand in 2012 expectedly. The reason is that it can lower rolling resistance and improve the traction in rainy day.
The research report forecast that gaseous phase white carbon black will expand in the industrial silicon rubber. And the silicon sol may increase in the same pace because of its adaptation of refractory material, metal and textile. It is expected that the Asian-Pacific region will be the largest demand market and the fastest growing region. China will promote the demand increase of silicon. Meanwhile, Freedonia Group also expects that the growing rate of North America and Western Europe market is slow.
