Japan: Delivery Capacity of Overall Cutting Tool Increase in June 2012

It is reported by Japanese media that Japan Tool Industry Association summarized the delivery capacity of overall cutting tool in June 2012 to 93.11 billion Yen (0.11875 billion dollars) up 1.7% YoY because of good marketing of screw processing tools. Shipping amount is 8.876 billion Yen (0.11316 dollars) growing 3.2% YoY. Production amount increases 2.9% YoY, shipping amount rises 4.5% YoY except for the effect of members changes.
From the material variety, special steel tool production amount is 7.373 billion Yen (94.03 million dollars), superhard tool production amount is 1.905 Yen (24.3 million dollars), diamond CBN tool production amount is 0.033 Yen (0.42 million dollars). DEFRA pointed that although the orders falls lightly from the words of some members, the production is steady for the moment because of many unfilled orders.
In addition, we learn from the statistic of Japanese economical industry provincial machinery, special steel tool production amount is 7.633 billion Yen (97.35 million dollars), up 2.4% YoY, two consecutive months increase. The production amount of screw tap and screw die is 2.856 billion Yen (36.42 million dollars), increasing 4.6% YoY. And the production amount of steel diamond is 1.575 billion Yen (20.09 million dollars), down 5.2% YoY.
