Chongqing-based Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel Co subsidiary of Chongqing Iron and Steel Co issued its finished steel output for August and for the first eight months of the current year.

In August, Chongqing Steel produced 401,390 tonnes of finished steel, decreasing by 23.5%YoY compared to 524,838 tonnes in August 2011.

In the January to August period of this year, the aggregate finished steel output of Chongqing Steel totaled 3,315,122 tonnes down by 11.3%YoY.
