China 1st tech exhibition opens in Indonesia

The 1st China Innovative Products & Technologies Exhibition opened on Tuesday, in a bid to promote the communication and cooperation of science and technology between China and Indonesia.
Zhang Xiaoli, the deputy executive director of China Shippers' Association, introduced the scope and content of the exhibition, "I hope this exhibition can be a platform for the scientific and technological enterprises of China and Indonesia to communicate and cooperate," Zhang said at the opening ceremony.
According to Zhang, several hundreds of technological and innovative products would be presented during the exhibition, covering mechanical, environment protection, energy saving, exploration, medical, agricultural technology, electronical and information sectors.
"I am glad the Chinese exhibitors share the newest innovative products and the technology with Indonesian people", said Zainuddin, the representative from Indonesia's science and technology circle, adding that the transgenic technology of rice, the processing technology of seaweed and cassava powder have taken real benefit for Indonesian people.
"I hope more and more Chinese high-tech enterprises can invest and develop in Indonesia," Zainuddin added.
Zhou Hui, economic and commercial counselor of the Chinese embassy in Indonesia, said that both China and Indonesia are large developing countries and the economies between the two countries are complementary to each other. "I hope this kind of technology sharing can benefit both the Chinese and Indonesian peoples," the counselor added.
The exhibition was organized by China Shippers' Association and participated by over 60 high-tech enterprises from China. According to the organizer, the exhibition lasts for only one day.
