Germany BASF: Price Increasing of Resin And Other Products

On Aug 31, Germany Chemical Group BASF announced that the price of Kaurit and Kauramin brand products in the European market will rise since Sep 1, 2012, up 10 Euros per ton.
There has learnt that the reasons of price increasing are the cost rising of energy, manpower and maintenance. The glue and urea resin of Kaurit and Kauramin brands are the condensation products of urea and formaldehyde. Furthermore, there is melamine in the Kauramin products.
Kaurit and Kauramin glue is professionally used in manufacturing materials with different composition, from shaving board, fibrebodard to OSB. Kaurit and Kauramin resin can be used for manufacturing all kinds of special paper products, such as decorative paper. And the resin products of BASF can be also used in manufacturing wood paint for composite floor and furniture.
