According to statistics released by the Japan's Ministry of Finance, the country exported 3.531 million tonnes of steel products in September 2012, falling by 4% MoM while increasing by 8% YoY.

In September 2012, the country's export revenues generated by steel products totaled JPY 2.838 hundred billion, falling by 6.5% YoY.

Meanwhile, Japan imported 606,500 tonnes of steel products in September 2012, decreasing by 8.6% MoM while increasing by 8.4% YoY.
