Cash Price of Steel Billet Experiences Large Decrease

The day’s biggest mover was the steel billet cash price which dropped by 3.3 percent on Nov. 30, 2012 on the LME. The steel billet 3-month price saw little movement last Friday on the LME.
Chinese steel prices were flat for the day. The price of Chinese HRC was essentially unchanged and the price of Chinese coking coal continues to hover for the fifth day in a row.
After a 0.5 percent increase, the spot price of the US HRC futures contract finished the day. For the fifth day in a row, the US HRC futures contract 3-month price remained essentially flat.
