The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has developed a new diamond sealing service that provides reliable packaging for D-to-Z colored diamonds with a GIA Grading Report or a GIA Diamond Dossier.



The tamper-evident package is as big as a credit card, and it comes with the diamond's primary details including the diamond's shape and its four C's specs, as well as a GIA hologram. The GIA diamond sealing service can be obtained for $9 per stone during the grading process.



GIA President and CEO Dona Baker presented the new diamond sealing service at the IIJS Show in Mumbai, together with GIA Managing Director for India and the Middle East Nirupa Bhatt.
