Abstract The processes of sawing, dicing and slicing are widely applied in the production of hard and brittle materials. The cutting performances of diamond blades make great effects to the machining cost and quality of products. In this paper, the state of the art in diamond blades was summarized and introduced, including the technologies of diamond blades fabrication and their application for hard and brittle materials machining.
