Up to Feb.1, 2013, iron ore inventory at 36 Chinese ports totaled around 78.85 million tonnes, down 1.90 million tonnes from Jan.25. Of the total stockpiles, around 2.40 million tonnes iron ore was India-sourced, down 300,000 tonnes from one week earlier.

Calculated based on current steel production level in China, iron ore inventories at Chinese ports can meet the demand for 26.9 days production.
