Korean crude steel output increase by 7.6% YoY

According to forecast made by the Korea Iron and Steel Association, Korea is expected to produce 74.32 million tonne of crude steel in 2013, rising by 7.6% YoY.
In 2012, the country’s crude steel output totaled 69.07 million tonne, up slightly by 0.8% from a year ago.
Meanwhile, KOSA said that Korea’s production of hot rolled coils totaled 2.85 million tonne in January, falling by 9% from a month ago and decreasing by 6% YoY.
