Chinese domestic iron ore production up by 8.2pct in Feb

According to China's domestic production of major industrial products in February 2013 announced by National Bureau of Statistics of China, iron ore production totaled 88.634 million tonnes, increased by 6.716 million tonnes, up 8.2%.
Associated with the increase in iron ore production, domestic ore for January to February calmative production totaled 175.173 million tonnes, increased by 20.877 million tonnes from the same period previous year at 154.296 million tonnes.
Pig iron production for February turned out to be 57.054 million tonnes, resulting January to February cumulative amount at 115.792 million tonnes.
Moreover, crude steel production for February turned out be 61.83 million tonnes, resulting January to February cumulative amount at 125.452 million tonnes. The crude steel production for January 2013 was corrected to 63.622 million tonnes, reaching a record high in a monthly basis.
