A Chinese senior legislator on Friday called for joint efforts to improve global economic governance, reform international financial and trade systems and promote common development.
Zhang Ping, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, made the remarks in a keynote speech here at the G20 Speakers' Consultation Forum.
China, he said, is an advocate and promoter of improving global economic governance, and will continue to actively participate in global economic governance.
Meanwhile, China is dedicated to building a new type of state-to-state relationship that is lasting, stable and healthy and achieving equality, mutual trust, tolerance, mutual learning and win-win cooperation in international relations, he added.
During the two-day forum, which concluded Friday, a wide range of consensus was reached, covering such topics as economic recovery, financial reform and fight against corruption.
The forum, now in its fourth year, has become an integral part of the G20 consultation framework.
