PTI reported that zinc futures prices today fell by 0.38% to INR 104.50 per kilogram largely in line with a weak trend in the overseas markets and subdued spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in May fell by 40 or 0.38% to INR 104.50 per kilogram with a business turnover of 34 lots. Likewise, the metal for delivery in April fell by 35 paise or 0.33% to trade at INR 104.55 per kilogram with a business turnover of 968 lots.
Marketmen said that besides sluggish domestic demand a weak trend in the entire base metals in the global markets, led to the fall in zinc futures prices.
