According to figures from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's auto sales rose 13.2% YoY 2.04 million units in March this year the highest monthly level ever recorded.

In the first three months, the country's auto sales rose 13.2% YoY to 5.42 million units.

The sales of passenger cars jumped 17.2% YoY to 4.42 million units from January to March, while the sales of commercial vehicles decreased 1.7% YoY to 1 million units. The country's auto output grew 12.8% YoY to 5.4 million units in the first three months.

The association said eariler that the country's auto sales may grow 7% YoY this year. In 2012, China's auto sales climbed 4.33% YoY to 19.31 million units.
