Chinese, Thai businessmen agree on bilateral trade, investment projects

Chinese investors from Henan province of China and Thai businessmen made agreements on nine trade and investment projects worth 827 million U.S. dollars, Thanakorn Seriburi, the chairman of the Thailand-China Business Council, said here Wednesday.
The nine agreements were signed here by Thai businessmen and Chinese investors from Henan province, Thai language news agency Krungthep Turakij Online reported.
In a bid to explore the bilateral trade and investment projects, over 170 Chinese businessmen and government civil servants from Henan province, have been invited to visit Thailand, he said.
Guo Gengmao, governor of Henan Province, said Thailand is in an important strategic geography as the gate to markets of the other ASEAN countries.
Hence, Thailand is geographically attractive to Chinese investors to invest and export to the other ASEAN markets and outside the ASEAN markets, Guo said.
