Diamond Innovations Inc. is closing a plant in Dublin, Ireland, cutting 79 jobs and consolidating the work in Central Ohio.
The Worthington-based manufacturer of superabrasive materials said this week it plans to consolidate Dublin Innovations Ireland’s operations to the company’s headquarters following the September closure.
Brian Bell, managing director for the Irish division, told me decisions on adding jobs in Central Ohio won’t be made until then.
Diamond Innovations manufactures high-grade diamond, cubic boron nitride and polycrystalline products for grinding, machining, wire drawing, sawing, drilling, oil and gas exploration and polishing applications.
The Dublin plant is one of the three the company has worldwide, along with plants in Worthington and Deerfield Beach, Fla.
