China auto exports in April up by 4% MoM

According to figures from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China, the world's largest auto market, exported 89,400 vehicles in April this year, reflecting a rise of 4% MoM and an increase of 1.5% YoY.
In the first four months, the country's auto exports totalled 316,000 units, up 12.7% YoY. The growth rate was 5.3 percentage points lower than that in the first quarter.
The exports of passenger vehicles jumped 24% YoY to 194,200 units and the exports of commercial vehicles fell 1.7% YoY to 121,900 units from January to April. In the first quarter of this year, the country imported 216,400 vehicles, down 26.7% YoY.
