China-New Zealand Free Trade Area Holds the 1st Joint Committee Meeting

The first joint committee meeting of China-New Zealand Free Trade Area was held on August 19-20 in Wellington, New Zealand. The two sides thoroughly examined the implementation of the bilateral free trade agreement since October 1, 2008, and discussed related issues and matters during the implementation of the agreement.
New Zealand is the second largest trading partner, the third largest export market and the second largest source of imports of China. China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement which is signed on April 7, 2008 is the first free trade agreement signed between China and the western country.
