China's daily crude steel output edges upward in mid-June

On June 28, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in mid-June (June 11-20) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel producers in China totaled 1.7455 million mt, up 0.79 percent or 14,000 mt compared to early June (June 1-10). Meanwhile, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China in mid-June was estimated at 2.164 million mt, up 0.37 percent or 8,000 mt compared with early June.
In early June this year, the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel producers in China had amounted to 1.7318 million mt, up 1.3 percent compared to late May (May 21-31). Meanwhile, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China in early June was 2.1563 million mt, up 0.1 percent compared with late May.According to the CISA's figures, as of June 20 this year the aggregate finished steel inventories held by large and medium-sized steel producers in China amounted to 13.55 million mt, increasing by 703,000 mt compared to early June.
