It is reported that the export quotes of the US container HMS 80:20 to Taiwan have remained flat at USD 338 per tonne to USD 340 per tonne CFR, keeping unchanged for consecutive three weeks.

Meanwhile, the actual transaction prices have also remained stable at USD 33 per tonne to USD 338 per tonne.

It said that the US scrap suppliers offered quotes of USD 335 per tonne CFR due to depreciated Taiwanese dollars against the US dollar.

However, as rebar prices slumped in the Taiwanese market, the US scrap offers seem unfavorable to the Taiwanese buyers.
