Brazilian carbon steel imports decrease in May

According to data released by the Brazilian foreign trade ministry, the country’s imports of carbon steel flat products totaled 89,643 tonne in May, falling by 21.7% from a month ago.
Among them, the imports of CRC totaled 10,575 tonne, slumping by 47.47%; those of hot dipped galvanized steel were at 41,911 tonne, falling by 42.7%; those of heavy plates were at 16,651 tonne, jumping by 75.76% and those of hot rolled coils were at 20,506 tonne, soaring by 74.64%, all compared to the figures in a month ago.
