Bloomberg reported that the London Metal Exchange appointed Mr Andrew Caplan head of Glencore Xstrata Plc’s aluminum division to its aluminum committee.

Mr Sam Hainsworth of JPMorgan Chase & Company also was named to the panel which is scheduled to hold its next meeting October 9th 2013. The LME committees comprise producers, consumers and traders of the industrial metals bought and sold on the exchange. The aluminum committee has 12 members including United Co. Rusal, Alcoa Inc and Trafigura Beheer BV.
