It was known by the reporter from the commerce department of Zambia on August 26 that 41 Zambian enterprises have confirmed to attend the "13th China International Fair of Investment and Trade" to be held in Xiamen on September 8-11.

The 41 enterprises are mainly the local minor enterprises from jewelry, tourism, textile, Chinese medicinal herb, handicraft, machinery and other industries.

The affairs of exhibition to China are organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry of Zambia and Zambia Development Agency. The responsible person from the industry office of the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry of Zambia deemed that CIFIT has offered a good display platform to Zambian enterprises, and they hope Zambian enterprises can enter into Chinese market as soon as possible.

In recent years, the economic and trade cooperation between Zambia and China has steadily grown. In 2008, bilateral trade volume of Zambia and China exceeded USD800m, reaching the historic highest level.

Zambia is one of countries in southern Africa, with the political situation stable, mineral resources abundant, the proven copper reserves ranking the fourth in the world, and cobalt reserves ranking the second and such resources as lead, zinc, uranium and jewel. Zambia has rich tourism resources, and Victoria Fall situated at the juncture of Zambia and Zimbabwe is the world-famous natural heritage.
