Indian zinc prices move up on higher global cues

BS reported that Indian zinc prices moved up by 0.36% to INR 110.30 per kilogram in futures market as speculators enlarged their positions, supported by a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in July traded higher by 40 paise or 0.36% to INR 119.39 per kilogram in business turnover of 1,905 lots. Similarly, zinc for delivery in August contract edged up by same margin to INR 111.55 per kilogram in 233 lots.
Market analysts said speculators enlarged their positions supported by a firm global trend mainly helped zinc prices to trade higher at futures trade. Meanwhile, zinc climbed 0.2% to USD 1,880.25 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
