Indian copper remains weak on sluggish industrial demand

PTI reported that copper remained weak and traded INR 2 per kilogram lower on the local nonferrous metal market due to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
Traders said that reduced offtake by consuming industries mainly put pressure on copper prices. In the national capital, copper scrap mixed scrap fell further INR 2 to INR 404 per kilogram.
The following are today’s metal rates per kilogram: Zinc ingot 109-115, nickel plate (4x4) 1,029-1,032 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 404, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 147, lead imported 143, aluminium ingots 142, sheet cutting 143, aluminium wire scrap 146 and aluminium utensils scrap 142.
