Indian copper and nickel rates up on increased industrial demand

PTI reported that Indian prices of copper and nickel strengthened up to INR 3 per kilogram on the local nonferrous metal market increased industrial demand.
Traders attributed the rise in copper and nickel to increased industrial demand. In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) advanced by INR 2 and INR 3 to INR 412 and INR 1,037-1,040 per kilogram respectively.
Zinc ingot, lead ingot and lead imported were also recovered by INR 2 each to INR 109 to INR 115, INR 147 and INR 143 per kilogram respectively.
The following are today’s metal rates per kilogram: Zinc ingot 109 to 115, nickel plate (4x4) 1,037-1,040 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 412, chadri deshi 285. Lead ingot 145, lead imported 143, aluminium ingots 144, sheet cutting 145, aluminium wire scrap 147 and aluminium utensils scrap 144.
