The abrasive belt grinding technology and equipment, which usually named as “universal grinding”, is widely used in aerospace, aviation, ships, nuclear power, metallurgy, chemical, hardware, stone and many other machine manufacturing. The abrasive belt grinding has been the important technology method to solve the processing of plate, pipe, container, special-shaped complex curved surface and different kinds of difficult machining materials, especially as many new heavy load, high efficiency, high precision and fully CNC abrasive belt grinding equipments and new type high-tech coated abrasives manufacturing technology. It is an indispensable processing technology system for the manufacturing at present.

There have higher requirements to the abrasive belt grinding with rapid development of technology, springing up of many new type materials, numeralization realization of spare parts molded surface design and intelligentization trend development of processing equipment. Meanwhile, it’s urgent for the Chinese economic development to improve the manufacturing level and it provides broad market for the abrasive belt grinding. In this new situation, “2013 International Forum of Belt Grinding Technology and Equipment” (IFBGTE2013) will be held together with “The 2nd China (Zhengzhou) International Abrasives & Grinding Exposition” during the same period in the same place. The theme of this forum is to accelerate the butt joint of manufacturing and the application and improve the transformation and upgrading of abrasive belt grinding industry. And the purpose is to build the information exchange platform for the enterprises that use the abrasive belt grinding, manufacture the abrasive belt grinding equipment and abrasive belt.

The goals of this forum are following:

1. Discuss the latest research trend and future research orientation of abrasive belt grinding technology, promote the integration of abrasive belt grinding technology and other disciplines, and further the study of the fundamental mechanism of abrasive belt grinding technology;

2. Technical exchanges for common problems encountered in the abrasive belt grinding process of metal plate, tube, rod, container and complex surface, solve the common problem in application process of abrasive belt grinding, expand the scope of application of abrasive belt grinding technology and equipment;

3. Display the latest research results of abrasive belt grinding machine and abrasive belt manufacturing to provide more information for the abrasive belt grinding users.

Forum Schedule:

This conference will invite the representatives of the industry associations, association of enterprises, scientific research units and colleges, abrasive belt and abrasive belt grinding equipment manufacturing enterprises, application units and the suppliers of coated abrasive tools. With the cooperation by making production, learning and research integrated, exploring the central topic about how to put the abrasive belt grinding technology to a higher level.
