A leading Chinese heavy machinery firm has made an export breakthrough by supplying seamless steel tubes to Indonesia.
Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group Co Ltd (TZ) announced on Friday that it has sent products to Attas energy company in Indonesia. Cao Keshun, TZ spokesman, said the contract is worth 300 million yuan ($49 million).
"All the works, including factory construction and product line installation, will be done by TZ with investment from the Indonesian company," Cao said. Seamless steel tubes are used in the construction and engineering sectors.
Founded in 1950, TZ was the first independent heavy-duty machinery manufacturing firm to be established in China. Its products have been exported to countries around the world.
