Today, SI Group, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of chemical intermediates, announced an organizational realignment to support the company’s increasing focus on business excellence.

"SI Group is positioning itself for growth,” said Frank Bozich, President and CEO. “The organizational changes announced today support our company’s strategic roadmap, and will ultimately streamline operations and drive business performance.”

William Scheffer, one of the company’s longtime successful executives, has assumed the newly-created role of Vice President, Operational Excellence. Scheffer joined the company in 1981, and most recently served as Vice President, North America. He will focus on global operational excellence steering, including EHS excellence governance, capital and engineering, regulatory, manufacturing footprint optimization, global process improvement, and supply chain excellence.

Paul Tilley, another tenured SI Group executive, is now Senior Vice President, North America and Global Key Accounts. In this role, Tilley will be responsible for North America operations, as well as building and maintaining the relationships for the company’s global key customers. He joined SI Group in 1993, and has held several senior leadership positions throughout his career.

Stephen Haller has been named Senior Vice President, Strategy and New Business Development, responsible for the company’s strategy development activities, business intelligence, strategic marketing and communications, research and development, and new business development. Haller joined the company in 2003 as General Manager in Switzerland, and most recently held the title of Vice President, Europe and Middle East. He will relocate from Switzerland to the company’s headquarters in Schenectady, New York.

Philip Ingham has been promoted to Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, becoming the newest member of the SI Group executive leadership team. Ingham joined the company in 1992 as Operations Manager at the company’s Durban site, and has been actively involved in growing the company’s global presence. Ingham will relocate to Switzerland from South Africa, where he has been serving in the role of Managing Director.

In addition, Christopher Roberts’ title has been changed to Vice President, Sourcing and Commercial Excellence to more closely reflect his expertise in maximizing commercial business performance.
