Indian copper up on global cues as industrial demand

BS reported that buoyed by increased domestic demand, copper prices rose 0.33% to INR 460.75 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators enlarged positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November traded higher by INR 1.50 or 0.33% to INR 460.75 per kilogram in business turnover of 3,742 lots. Copper for delivery in far month February edged up by INR 1.15 or 0.25% to INR 469.70 per kilogram in 97 lots.
Globally, copper for delivery in three months on the London Metal Exchange rose 0.3% to USD 7,078.50 per tonne.
Market analysts said that apart from increased demand at domestic spot markets from consuming industries, a firming overseas trend mainly influenced copper prices at futures trade.
