European steel prices sliding on stronger EUR

Steel prices are sliding down in Europe under the pressure of aggressive import prices, helped by a strong EUR 1.36 vs USD
Turkish Mills are quoting Wire rod drawing quality around USD 610 per tonne CFR FO Mediterranean but have been beaten by a major Indian steel mill that has booked a trial order of 500 tonnes at USD 605 per tonne CFR FO for SAE 1006).
Also Turkish Mills are quite aggressive on HRC with prices ranging USD 605 per tonne to USD 610 per tonne CFR FO effective Med ports for S235JR and including up to 20% of thickness below 2mm (1,35 – 1,50 and 1,80 mm) as well as 2000 mm width.
Indian Mills are quite aggressive on HDG with offers at around USD 740 per tonne CFR FO effective for thickness 1 mm and up coating Z 100 – 120.
