MMK Group's crude steel output down 7% in Q3 from Q2

In the third quarter of the current year, the crude steel production of Russian steelmaker MMK Group totaled 2.874 million mt, down seven percent compared to the second quarter of the year, while its crude steel output in the first nine months of the year amounted to 9.027 million mt, down 10 percent year on year, as announced by the company.
MMK Group's finished steel product output in the third quarter totaled 2.640 million mt, down seven percent quarter on quarter, while finished steel product output in the first nine months amounted to 8.309 million mt, down nine percent year on year.
MMK Group's high value-added (HVA) steel product output in the third quarter this year decreased by seven percent quarter on quarter to 1.280 million mt. The share of HVA production in MMK Group's total steel product output in the given quarter amounted to 48.5 percent. MMK Group's HVA steel product output in the first nine months increased by 10 percent year on year to 4.016 million mt.
During the third quarter, MMK's cast iron production decreased by five percent to 2.331 million mt, its long steel product output increased by two percent to 471,000 mt, and its flat hot rolled product output decreased by 10 percent to 1.086 million mt - all on quarter-on-quarter basis.
In the fourth quarter this year, MMK Group plans to maintain production volumes of finished steel products at the same levels as in the third quarter.
