The third quarter of the 2013 calendar year proved to be another highly successful term for the Israeli diamond technology producer Sarin. According to the firm, its revenues between July and September 2013, $17.3 million, were leaps and bounds ahead of their 2012 Q3 revenues, surpassing them by 28%. Furthermore, the company's profits in 2013 Q3 were $5.7 million, amounting to a stupendous 124% increase over its profits during the third quarter a year previous.

As impressive as they were, Sarin's 2013 Q3 results still lagged behind its revenues in the previous quarter Q2. The firm attributed this development to the recent troubles facing the Indian diamond industry, what with the weakening of the local currency and the corresponding reduction in diamond industry activity.

Sarin produces devices that digitally measure and grade diamonds, which aids manufacturers in determining the most appropriate cut in order to maximize a stone's profitability.
