According to reports, football star Wayne Rooney has reportedly ordered a custom made 50,000 pound diamond-encrusted watch to present to his wife Coleen after delivering their child next month.



Rooney is also said to have commissioned fine jewelers Jacob & Co, who crafted the couple’s 1 million pound wedding rings, to engrave a personal message.



News of the World quotes a source close to the pair as saying: “Coleen is crazy about diamonds so that was the key to the design of the diamond watch. Wayne has spent weeks making sure it looks just right.”



The couple’s baby is due on October 24, the same day as Rooney’s birthday.



The same source is quoted as saying: 'Wayne can't wait to see Coleen's reaction when he presents her with the watch.”
