Turkey steel exports in November down by 2.2% YoY

According to the Steel Exporters' Association data, Turkey's steel exports fell 2.2% YoY to USD 1.1 billion in November. In terms of volume, steel exports were up 1.1% YoY to 1.5 million tonnes in the month.
In September steel exports fell 13.5% YoY to USD 1.03 billion and in terms of volume steel shipments were down 15.3% YoY to 1.3 million tonnes.
In October, steel exports dropped 20.5% YoY to USD 1.05 billion and fell 20.48% YoY to 1.4 million tonnes. In the first eleven months of the year, Turkey's steel exports fell 10.8% YoY to USD 12.7 billion.
In terms of volume, exports declined 7.2% YoY to 16.8mn tonnes in January to November. The decline in commodity prices and antidumping probes adversely affected Turkey's steel export revenues. In Jan-Nov, Iraq was the largest market for Turkish steel companies. Steel exports to Iraq amounted to 2.3 million tonnes in the first eleven months of the year while exports to Saudi Arabia stood at 1.27 million tonnes and exports to the UAE amounted to 1.2 million tonnes.
