Antwerp Facets reports that Alrosa’s new CEO, Fyodor Andrejev, is currently visiting Antwerp to meet with officials of Antwerp World Diamond Center (AWDC).

Antwerp Facets disclosed that during meetings, discussions were held on ways to boost the recovery of the diamond sector and new alliances which will form in the aftermath of the full recovery of the global diamond market.



The website reported that Andrejev informed the AWDC that the Russian diamond giant is determined to continue to demonstrate a responsible presence in the world diamond market. Alrosa’s president underscored his company’s intention to fully adhere to long-term contracts it has signed with its clients. He also dismissed allegations that Alrosa intends to flood the market with an excess stock of rough diamonds.
